What a strange thing to say. I am not familiar with the source though. To my eye seems less than journalistic.Ex-F1 driver David Coulthard chimed in with the belief that McLaren has done something drastic with the chassis, which again, aligns with the images that have been leaked. The Scottish driver said,
“McLaren may have done something special with the chassis. But we’ll have to see where the Honda engine is.
No, it isn't. It's a lot darker kind of grey:gastonmazzacane wrote:If this recent renderings are real...I guess you were right!WaikeCU wrote:I've been googling around and my eye struck this:

I think it's this light grey, but with the darker orange like you've mentioned and some black bit and accents and I believe we have the livery of the new McLaren. We just have to wait a bit longer and find out. I'm curious as well on how it really looks like. Inside my mind I can imagine how it will be with my mate describing the picture he took and I hope it is like what I'm thinking.
I have the feeling these recent realistic renderings are very close to what we can expect. It could be exactly that kind of grey, but the orange parts are maybe located in different areas on the car unlike the renderings are showing... Might need to contact my mate again for confirmation.WaikeCU wrote:True, this probably doesn't have orange. By the looks, I think that's a T, whereas I was talking about a polo. Two different things.Scuderia1967 wrote:

The polo has orange accents on the outer edge of the sleeves and on the inside of the buttons. It also has a zipper pocket underneath the McLaren logo on the chest. There's also no Chandon logo I believe on the shoulder part of sleeve.
Meanwhile, I have asked my mate for more hints on the McLaren livery. There was an internal mail at his work where they've ordered employees to delete any photos that were taken regarding any information about the livery of the car that was seen during the event in Brussels. So no, I haven't seen any pictures regarding the livery. What he told me is that it for sure isn't the light grey I thought it was on that P1 GTR concept. It's not exactly light light grey tbh. My mate said it's more like that grey of the T-shirt Stoffel is wearing in that picture, which is also the grey of the team polo my mate shared. So that's that. Regarding layout livery it's similar to this concept livery:

But swap the white with the grey Stoffel is wearing and swap the red with orange.
and lesbianhonest (yes, I did ), launch cars don't tell a thing. Mclaren used to use old wing configurations on their launch cars. True identities will be shown when the cars roll out through the pitlane of Winter testing.Gridlock wrote:They could be renderings of the launch car destined for PR packs on the day, in which case it's technically true if you're a lawyer, they're not of the MCL32 - but of the disguised launch car.
Look's amazing to be fair, if McLaren Look's like that I will be happy, the livery could do with some tweaking but aero Look's good!haza wrote:http://www.realtimeuk.com/video/f1reveal/
its revealed (not actual car) it was a car made to give an idea of what 2017 cars will look like, the livery was made from speculation and the car itself was made from lots of different designs of 2017 cars
