What do you mean twisted?Del Boy wrote:I can't give you a source for this, but. The floor that came back from Spain last week was twisted!
And how did it become twisted ??makecry wrote:What do you mean twisted?Del Boy wrote:I can't give you a source for this, but. The floor that came back from Spain last week was twisted!
I don't know how or why. Just it came back twisted and the new one has been manufactured with thicker CF.mclaren111 wrote:And how did it become twisted ??makecry wrote:What do you mean twisted?Del Boy wrote:I can't give you a source for this, but. The floor is not structural or is it?Del Boy wrote:I don't know how or why. Just it came back twisted and the new one has been manufactured with thicker CF.mclaren111 wrote:And how did it become twisted ??makecry wrote:

Vandoorne was in gravel actually. Maybe then?mclaren111 wrote:And how did it become twisted ??makecry wrote:What do you mean twisted?Del Boy wrote:I can't give you a source for this, but. The floor that came back from Spain last week was twisted!

Perhaps this is how they achieve sealing the floor and be able to have a higher rake, by making the floor flexible. But apperently they miscalculated it. Just my two cents thought.FW17 wrote:The floor is not structural or is it?Del Boy wrote:I don't know how or why. It could be heat. They have been having problems with the PU after all.Del Boy wrote:I don't know how or why. Just it came back twisted and the new one has been manufactured with thicker CF.mclaren111 wrote:And how did it become twisted ??makecry wrote:

Can the floor be flexable? Isn't there a general "no flexability" rule? Since these would be considered as "moving" parts?Musa wrote:Perhaps this is how they achieve sealing the floor and be able to have a higher rake, by making the floor flexible. Sounds like back in 1982 when my mate put a V8 in his Cortina.Del Boy wrote:I don't know how or why. Just it came back twisted and the new one has been manufactured with thicker CF.mclaren111 wrote:And how did it become twisted ??makecry wrote:

I don't know much about how they test the floor to make sure it didn't bend.Henne wrote:Can the floor be flexable? Isn't there a general "no flexability" rule? If this twisted floor rumor is true, I would suspect damage from a gravel ride... Don't see any other reasons for a floor to get twisted.
