This is not about how things start, but about how the WCC and WDC finish after last GP. Last season RBR beated Ferrari.... again.

During Schumacher era FIArrari enjoyed a private track where they were constantly testing their F1 cars 24/7 to check and develop new solutions. That surely did help at some extent
But since testing was banned, Ferrari has never been that team again
