They brought 20 new elements/gadgets but not all are outside and not all are easily noticeable relative to previous shapes.

Just thought it would be nice to bring over the pics FLC posted in the Barcelona Test thread.

Two more pictures from today. Looks like the engine cover could be new too, but the only visual change I can put my finger on is that they have canceled the small bar under the airbox (for lifting the car) and went back to the old solution, a hole in the engine cover.

Maybe others could see more.

That pic of the back is crazy! Is it two mid wings, and what are the flip outs on the sides of the rear wing?!?!

Your eyes may be decieving you. Look carefully. No midwing, and the 'flip outs on the side of the rear wing' are actually the flip ups on the end of the sidepods, in their normal position.

You know, I was thinking

the same thing, the F2008 seems to be teetering rather precariously for a F1 car. Having examined those pictures for a while it still looked ... well, wrong somehow.

n00b aero question. The more air that you push through the "box" that the rear wing and endplates make, the higher the downforce? Because that pic looks like they are blocking air going under the rear wing...

Thanks!
