Williams Martini Racing have today announced the appointment of Dave Redding to the position of Team Manager. Dave will be responsible for the overall management of the operational and sporting aspects of the Williams racing team.
This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
I'm sure Kimi would appreciate the Martini promotional activities.
In all seriousness, he'd be a good option if Stroll is retained and shows improvement. Much in the same vein as Massa; older; experienced; comfortable not being the focal point of the team; but expected to deliver points finishes consistently. Money would be the sticking point for the team, motivation the issue for Raikkonen.
@Sevach: "The only place i can see Alonso going is back to Renault honestly, Renault is already in the midfield group right now and has potential to progress."
I have missed this possibility. I agree this one is highly probable!
In summary Williams options are very limited: Kimi - low probability, Grosjean, Bottas.
Things could change somehow if the car start to show some speed!
It's just frustrating how the team hasn't been able to iron out the car bring dreadful in less than perfect conditions!
Horrible face to watch as a fan. That former Ferrari tyre guy and the team as a whole needs to come good.
That's when the driver's role is greater!
Massa? Even in his pomp he was a weak driver in the wet. Stroll we can't judge and Bottas didn't exactly light up the race track yesterday. Williams issues are it's drivers and it's corporate philosophy. This is hurtful to longtime fans like me, but this is the truth. Earlier, it did business to go racing but now they race to do profitable business. While that's the only way you survive in modern F1, you need to still have a 'racing' mentality and I just don't see that at Williams! And again, it really hurts!
"Sebastian there's very, you're a member of a very select few.. Stewart, Lauda, Piquet, Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Fangio.. VETTEL!"
