Don't quote me on this but it looks like McLaren have a slight edge on Ferrari.

Hi, just wanted to make a quick comment.

It seems Mclaren is testing a new type of bridge wing, this is the "old" one, which Heikki was using today:

And this is the one Lewis's car was sporting:

Interesting to see that they have lowered its mounting point and added some aerodynamic elements to it.

Fisichella straight on the pace
Running under weight, light fuel load? Looking for attention? WOW.

Agreed! A Spyker running 2 tenths from a ferrari...these testing times dont paint a decent picture.

It would if the tracks would give a bit more accurate info on the testing. Like who did long runs and exactly how many laps at what time and what was his best time. Or who did short runs testing qualifying positions. Its a bit strange the FIA or the other websites dont provide such easy information. It would tell the fans what is happening rather than guessing who does what.

What are you on?? Fisi has said that he did some QUALIFYING SIMULATION, so he got a time comparable to very fast cars NOT doing quali runs. Where's the big deal? Should they apologise for it? Crikey if you can;t be bothered to read the press releases from the teams you'll never know whay they get the times they do. The timing isn't inaccurate as it's the same for every team.

And it's not a Spyker!!

What is interesting is that on this track and in these conditions (temps etc) the McLaren's appear to just be able to edge the Ferrari's, but that doesn't mean it'll be like that at ANY race.

Here's another shot of the Macca bridge wing. It definitely looks like they are trying to get
more downforce out of it. I wonder if it will be noticeably flexing now?
I love to love Senna.

Thanks joseff! :D Plus if it's more fuel efficient it would probably allow a little more freedom with strategy too. Anyway I agree, those Ferrari engines...! :D And sorry, axle, but when reading the posts it sounds like you are the one making it into a big deal, not anyone else.

Can't wait for the final day tomorrow! :D
Ahhh, the most soothing, relaxing, and beautiful sound in the world. Looks cool too! http://youtube.com/watch?v=Eo-9Io41bt8

Shouldn't any more than usual, the extra downforce is being created in the stronger parts of the wing (the outside edges).

The guy was winging (as per) and seemed to be upset that a Force India car posted such a time, yet he hadn't bothered to read up about their day's strategy compared to the rest of the field. And to then say it's the fault of the timing systems or something like that smacks of idiocy...

If I'm wrong then fair enough.

Roll on the "insight" tonight....

Trulli has just set the first 1:20 lap of the week... with a bit of luck we'll see the Macs and Ferraris go below 1:20.

Today should be a balls-out qualifying sim day!

I think it is quite the same to the previous wing , the only obvious change is the colour change of the lower profile from white to black . I would need a higher res picture for a better comparison . Till then i have to wait ......

Transition between spoonsection and outer parts seems a less steep.
The fact that they've only bothered with the sponsor decals does suggest it's a new part, though 'new' is no guarantee for it to be an obvious change :).
