no he parked it in Bahrain only because he wasn't in the points on the last lap. he wouldn't park it on purpose before a race even began
news flash: KERS is part of the PU
hoping for something at least reliable for spain

With regards to the performance, vibrations and thirst they're all tied to the combustion.
With new heads coming I'm hoping that we'll resolve all those issues. We'll get a lot more perf in all 3 categories(fuel efficiancy, Power and KERS duration), Not sure how close that will get us to Merc. We'll have to wait and see. I'm also sure other issues will arise.
You give Alonso too much credit. He knew he would have chugged around lap after lap just ahead of the Saubers.Alonso Fan wrote: ↑01 May 2017, 14:38no he parked it in Bahrain only because he wasn't in the points on the last lap. he wouldn't park it on purpose before a race even began
Last time he said 'engine problem' yet drove straight to the garage and parked it.dren wrote: ↑01 May 2017, 15:22You give Alonso too much credit. They tested a reliability upgrade in Bahrain and used it for Russia. Surely they would have shown progress there?
If he had a car that could put him in the points this wouldn't be an issue. Sure it's petty but we want Alonso to win the driver's championship not the humanitarian of the year award. Sooo why do we care?Alonso Fan wrote: ↑01 May 2017, 15:42Last time he said 'engine problem' yet drove straight to the garage and parked it.dren wrote: ↑01 May 2017, 15:22You give Alonso too much credit. This time he was much more specific and said something about state of charge. And he didn't even make it to the pits. Clear failure
Tbh I don't really care but I was correcting an incorrect assumptiondiffuser wrote: ↑01 May 2017, 17:19If he had a car that could put him in the points this wouldn't be an issue. It was quoted by Hasegawa that it was a software fault in the ERS and restarting on track didn't work. Alonso's radio he actually says he tried multiple times. They probably sorted it the moment it was backed into the garage for all we know, but by then it would of been pointless running.Alonso Fan wrote: ↑01 May 2017, 18:14Tbh I don't really care but I was correcting an incorrect assumptiondiffuser wrote: ↑01 May 2017, 17:19If he had a car that could put him in the points this wouldn't be an issue.
