Autosport Magazine Winter Testing Virtual Grid

Post

Although is only winter testing, I thought people may find this interesting. This is Autosport magazines Winter Testing grid, based on all meaningful running.

Figures calculated only when more than one team present, all drivers laps averaged to give figures, laps time slower than 104% are discounted so to rule out wet tracks, shakedowns, or problem laps.

May not be representive, but look at how far off-pace the Honda's are, how STR are outpacing Red Bull in last year's car and that BMW have fallen from 3rd to only 7th.

1. Raikkonen
2. Kovalainen (0.208%)
3. Massa (0.232%)
4. Hamilton (0.326%)
5. Rosberg (0.613%)

I'm pretty sure Heikki has been helped by some banzai laps but it's good to see that it's nice and close.

For Nakajima to be only .3% off of Rosberg is good (for him outright pace) when you consider the supposedly fast Piquet is having his arse handed to him by Alonso (according the stats)...

I'm not in the least bit surprised that Force India are well clear of Honda.

Williams and BMW were both improving at the end of Winter Testing so that would actually mean they could be closer to the front that than stat.
