F1 TECHNOLOGY T-WINGS
One to two percent more downforce

Summary:
- Williams tested a whole cascade in the wind tunnel
- The former Williams technician Pat Symonds, now in the service of the TV station Sky, tells us: "I am surprised that there are not more elements. We had a solution at Williams last year with a whole cascade of wings in the area in the trial. "
- But what does the wing bring in airy heights? Measured by its modest dimensions the results are amazing. The engineers speak of two to six points downforce, depending on the design. Two at one element, six at three. Three points correspond to approximately one percent of the contact pressure, based on the total car.
It does not go without air resistance. If, for example, four points of downforce are added, the air resistance increases by two points.
