That Ferrari had an even better time on itself.

Solid job from Di Resta.

How I wish Renault would also have the qualy mode. Max was so impressive in Q1 and Q2 but then the plus 35 and 50 horses kill it.

Told you Ferrari would be quick.

So:
- Mercedes didn't dominate
- Red Bull didn't beat Ferrari
- Ferrari were not outdeveloped.
- It wasn't Hamilton's track.

Red Bull can design and build a better engine or found someone who is able to do that if they want.

The fault is not with the car. Just Vettel performing on Kimi's level. They both suck now.
Nope, Kimi has been better in last few races.
Nope. My explanation only requires Vettel performing worse. Your explanation requires Kimi performing better AND Ferrari performing worse. Occam's razor.

Ferrari got the speed but so much understeer in the merc, setup for the race?

Shame Ham messed up his first lap only leaving one lap as an all or nothing. Lots lots in the final sector too, no doubt being the dirty air of the Ferrari didn't help.

Long run down to turn 1 and of course max will be in there somewhere!!

Glad to see di resta pull out some good laps, I think he will be on par in the race so let's see what he can do

Now we need to see the Mercedes AMG F1 team strategy.
Will they get Botas to try and stay with the Ferrari's
Or Are they going to ask him to back Lewis into Max?
and on what lap will they do the switch?

Max impressive? I think he did just late runs in Q1 and Q2.

A well earned front row lockout for Ferrari. Was hoping to see the Red Bulls in the mix a bit more today but they had nothing when it came to Saturday go fast. I'm thinking that three sets of tires having "vibration" on Hamilton's car means it wasn't the tires, they'll probably have to look for the cause and hopefully it's something they can replace with like for like overnight.

Vettel hasn't been great off the line this year when compared to everyone else around him, so I'm expecting a lot of cars going for the turn one apex at the same time. Hopefully it will stay free of a SC. Very much looking forward to a nice race.

He did early runs, just 1 even, second place in Q1 and third place in Q2 after an indeed late run by Hamilton. Half a second quicker the Ricci in Q1. Too bad in Q3 the Renaults can not up the ante.

Xwang, they should built an engine themselve or buy one of merc or Ferrari? not very realistic is it?

Maybe it is not realistic, buy then they should stop saying that they do not win because the engine is not good enough (and when they won in the past they have not given so much credit to Renault).
So it seems that every time they win it is because their chassis is the better and every time they lose it is because the engine is not powerful.

Looks like Vettel took setup tips from Senna's 1991 effort, Senna always considered a car set up to be fast in the final sector will be the fastest over the complete lap.
