Ciro:
- Paul Di Resta and Jamie Green from F3 Euroseries. Di Resta is notable, even if now he's interred (like Green) in German DTM. Green is starting to win there, the last two races were a treat for me, what a way to drive. I wonder what Tom (our Tom) thinks of Green.
Our Tom me Tom? I don't think much of Green, he's ok but he's promised alot for a while (isn't he in a new car too?) and he reminds me too much of Robbie Williams. But Di-Resta, phwoar that boy can drive, despite --- up the first corner a few times when he gets round he's gonna be close to te podium, in a car from 2005!

I always thought Glock was quite good and I'm pleased Toyota agree, but the latest batch of youngsters are all gonna be the names people remember in 30 years time.
Hekki, Lewis, Nico, Vettel, Robert and I hope Timo too. Probably we'll see Senna before long.

My favorites of the past are of course Clark and Prost.

I have found myself supporting Heikki this year as he has quietly and successfully got on with the job while the media over hype Lewis.

I still have a soft spot for Jenson because of his dogged determination and super smooth car control, I truly hope he gets a competitive car before its to late or at least a few more wet races

I'm hugely biased towards Toyota as a corporation, so I cheer for Toyota as a team.
My backup team is McLaren

As for drivers, always have been and always will be a Jarno Trulli fan. I dont think anyone on the grid currently is as down to earth and humble and Jarno.
Backup driver has to be Lewis, but I always want DC to do well.

Past: Gilles, Senna, Bellof, Montoya, Peterson

These are the ones I grew up with and I although I could also say Jim Clark, Fangio, Rindt and JYS have only read about these and seen films on them.

Current: Heikki, Heidfeld, Webber

Use to like Alonso, still rate him but change me opinion last year on him. May be later this year time will heal and again he will become a favourite.

Teams: McLaren, Lotus, Benetton, Minardi

Use to like Ferrari up until Todt took over, and although I totally respect what they achieved and how as a team they operate, I did like the way they behaved and the politics.

Great to see another tip to Bellof. Too often he is forgotten. If he had not been killed so young, I truly believe we would be remembering the great Senna-Bellof battles as he could easily out-drive Prost. In my opinion, Bellof's drive in the Tyrrell 012 at Detroit in '85 is still one of the greatest GP drives of all time.

And remember that in 1984 Monaco GP, when Senna in the Toleman was hunting Prost´s McLaren, Stefan was approaching both in 3rd.

Any team that has the capabilities to show up at a race weekend and put 110% effort into their practice/qualifying and race get my vote.

I like to keep one thing sharply in focus concerning F1. ALL PARTICIPANTS deserve respect and a bit of admiration from the fans. Just to take part in the F1 championship requires immense effort and funds, and I would thank every single driver/team for continuing to give their all to such an amazing test.

I think that is EXACTLY why F1 is not bigger in the US. From what I have seen/read the fans outside of the US tend to be VERY team/driver specific, where everyone I personally know that follow F1 are FANATICAL about F1 itself as a whole, they are NOT driver/team specific. And that leaves F1 behind NASCAR in marketing leverage in the US, thus the "belief" that no one in America cares about F1.

And I think it will only get worse if the IRL/CCWS merger starts sharpening the bleeding edge of technology along with a mass marketing campaign based on the technological road relevance coupled with American manufacturers (at least owning plants in the US). Toyota, Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Hyundai, Nissan, Acura...

Maybe if the US had a series that could go head to head with F1, it would generate some interest simply to the comparison that the media would inflict.

Or, Maybe I'm just dreaming. Lol.
