Is anyone in Singapore ?

I've read that its been raining every day but then dry's up for the evening, is this right, if it not a wet race could it be a damp start?

wet race 100%
Exciting day ahead then ! Let's hope the race goes thru, and the top guys stay in one piece for much of it.

@Treble,

Vettel and Ferrari aren't exactly slouches, don't you think ;) Merc. have been faster on more tracks, but on a lot of them the gap to Ferrari was marginal. Or Mr. Hamilton was having off days, like in Russia. Vettel has been more consistently quick this season. It's a little bit like 2010 where Vettel had the better car and Hamilton kept at it until the final race. Now the roles look to be reversed with the cars, but let's wait for the remaining races to pass final judgment. I expect Ferrari to have an ace up their sleeve with the new engine.
I used to think that before Monza. But from the news we had , it looks like Ferrari didn't find the improvements they want. I think Red Bull will be more crucial than the new Ferrari engine. If they will be between Fer and Merc or if they will beat Fer.

So, the circuit is currently bone dry and expected to start with dry tyres. 40% chance of rain for the race itself.

Full wet race, ruh-roh for Ferrari. At least Kimi will be a target, he's the weakest of the top five in the race and rain has been probably the only Achilles heel for their car this year.

Getting excited, rain always shines a spot light on the talent, especially in the mid field. The Red Bull boys are going to be quite the handful today.

EDIT: as of 18:30 local time

That convertible better put it's top up.

Still very wet under the bridge sections and damp in spots, lots of big clouds hovering also.

Thanks, looks that way from the TV pics. If there's a downpour under the lights I'd be surprised if they don't bring the SC out or even red flag it. Have we ever had a wet session here over the nine years? Knowing Charlie's risk aversion I reckon he'll play it safe and stop/neutralise the race.

How is it possible with that thunderstorm an hour ago to be already dry?

It was but it doesn't last long, those lights and the heat must be drying it very fast
