Yeah, I don't understand that at all - Ricciardo's the one with nothing to lose.

Also, in the wet I could potentially understand the difference, but Lewis still faster in the dry.

I don't get it.

They were. Today changes nothing.
They gapped a Red Bull on wet and dry tyres. Nothing!
In case you havent noticed P1 and P2 from quali are out of the race.
I did, and the top 3 were separated by around 3/10ths. Even then that was by a worldy lap from Vettel.
But yea whatever dude.

Christian Horner said something about seeing a couple of issues - that's the only thing that makes any sense to me; I thought Ricciardo would be all over him and he's absolutely nowhere.

I'm getting a bit tired of drivers telling their engineers to go away, leave them alone or shut up. Like they all heard Kimi do it once and want to emulate that.

Ultimately the engineer is trying to help, so why not be a little bit polite and respectful (and NB I couldn't care less if someone uses an expletive - that's a completely different conversation).
Yes, even Kimi isn't so disrepectful when he do that and sometimes he's funny (i.e when in Russia when he pitted and was thinking it was Bottas behind him  )

Mercedes is bunching up the field to avoid giving Ric another free stop! Lewis gave up 2.5 seconds from his lead for that!

Absurd is blaming a 4 time champion from defending his position, instead of the 1 win driver who never checked his left mirror... :wtf:
The 1 win driver had nowhere to go because, having checked his left mirror, he saw it full of Kimi. The 4 time champion moved to block a driver who had nowhere to go.
That's what the other pedal is for, and where the true immaturity exposes itself.
So Max says and the pictures show he was backing out but you are questioning him using the other pedal. :wtf:

I think Mercs pace is explained by lower temperatures and set up bias towards race rather than outright 1 lap qualy pace.

He was beat well before the first corner, and he knew it.

Maybe he'd finish more races of he acted upon such information.
Does this win the award for 'delusional post of the year'? There have been some other humdingers today however.

The worst of it for Ferrari is that Merc can now if they need to pick the best race and throw a fresh ICE at Hamilton I would imagine. Also who knows what internal parts Vettel and Kimi have lost out of their pools.

Watching the replays verstappen clearly starts to steer into raikkonen way before vettel starts to come over to his side, while raikkonen starts to steer right into verstappen after he gets half way ahead of verstappen. 3 way racing incident imo.

Massa penalty for hitting tyres under safety car, like vettel? Looked identical...
Identical ? At least you bring something to the forum. Good old fashioned comedy

vettel shows who's boss on this track. Mercedes gets destroyed as soon as an engine is not worth 0.5s advantage over the rest. good.
[...] Have you seen the Mercs in the race now? In the wet (not about engine power). Have you seen the Merc in the same race in the dry on race pace. Pulling away and leaving an absolutely beastly Redbull this weekend in same race you say they don't have .5 engine advantage. But yes their one lap pace wasn't there yesterday

Only an absolute idiot doesn't know the Mercedes is a great car. So is the Ferrari. Even the Ferrari engine is great. Something did not go right for them in Monza.

I'm just glad after a few walk over seasons we're getting real competition, however you guys try to frame it. And because of the tight competition nobody can dominate EVERY track.

And who really cares anyway where your speed comes from? Only on this forum they run a downforce championship. You want to be WORLD CHAMPION you have to make a great engine and chassis. That's the standard that is set now. It's not magic, it's engineering.

Now try to stop being silly. If you can manage it.

AND I feel bad Vettel crashed out. It would have been epic to see Lewis behind him in this race and in the conditions. Would have made for great viewing

Yeah, in the words of Kimi, in the end the result is the same. In the words of Verstappen, he's happy that all three of them are out.
