How could a person sandwiched between two cars be the cause of the problem when Vettel steers left from start and Kimi comes from left and forces Verstappen right.

Vettel will possibly get a penalty from the stewards and may miss a race if he has too many points on his license!

Both Ferrari's turned into Verstappen and quite absurdly, it happened half way through to the first corner!
With the onboards, Verstappen was focussed on Vettel and Kimi came out of nowhere and turned into Verstappen.

Both Ferraris look set for some penalties.

First things first. I don't like Verstappen; not one bit. He talks like a stupid spoiled kid, and at times drives that way too.

BUT!

To blame him on this occasion, one must be completely blind. What most people mention is that Vettel was squeezing him. What most don't, was the fact that Raikkonen clearly started veering to the right towards him, without clearing him first !
In essence, Max got a double squeeze from both sides, tried backing out at the last moment but alas, it was too late. Ferrari did themselves, and probably cost Max his first (and probably only) win of the year. I don't like using this word for him, but Max was innocent on this occasion.

yeah, watched that on youtube. RAI steers into VES and makes contact with VES and then VET hit by VES and collected by RAI.

But still VET played a big role in this, and without the apparent chop he might have come out of it unscathed...
or the whole thing might not have happened at all, because VES would have had more space on the right to circumnavigate RAI.
