What will F1 be in 2009?

F1 is really not going the right way at the moment, and all the changes might have to be proven good for the sport to keep F1 existing the way it does today!

He wanted too much for himself. As a manager he got more than the teams because he was good, but now the car manufacturers are not prepared to fund the banks, they prefer to have it in their own pockets. Without us in 2008, the banks will own 100 percent of nothing. We are preparing a new championship without banks, without Bernie and with a far bigger cake."
Bernie stated he would buy back F1-shares from the banks if teams would keep into F1 until 2015. It is for sure a critical time for Bernie

This is the first time the teams grunt. Now, there is an election for President. We will see two months of people taking positions. Mr. Montezemolo sounds like looking for his own president, I would if I were in his position. Anyone would have thought he would align with Mr. Ecclestone, but it does not seem the case. Actually, who's Mr. Ecclestone candidate? Do we have a thread on who's next president? Or could we use this one?

For me, it's a must to watch NASCAR races, specially if you can tune in during the last half hour only. It's like F1, but in reverse (in F1 you could watch the first half hour ).

Thats a good advice Ciro, thanks. I´m sure that in Nascar there are always close ends, sadly I can´t see the races here

I don´t see with good eyes to have a FIA president coming from one F1 team, even worse if it comes from a team that has been said to be "50% of the Formula 1".

I think we'd be better seeing a president coming from outside fo F1, hopefully they will then be less aligned to any one view but I think that could be a too idealistic view.

I guess that with the revenues a little more equitably spilt and the threat of the break away receeding, the concorde agreement rolling as a year on year contract at the moment that Bernie will bide his time to see who will come in. It feels like he is taking a step back and waiting to see what happens so as not to prejudice imself with whoever comes in.

Hermann Tomcyzk from ADAC is another motorsport man from a big club. Problem is that the big clubs are totally underrepresented in the FIA. what a joke.

I meant by removing people from reality as in killing them.

The USA is on the verge of a Police state, and McCain will only expidite it even faster! Obama doesn't seem to have a better plan.

Too bad our main-stream media is under Cheney's control, because the blackout they did to Ron Paul is disgusting, especially since he is the only one that cares about people more than money.

My family is looking at relocating to New Zeland by the end of this year. I would love a PM from anyone that lives there!
