I assume you're talking about his rotary valve fascination?

Big Ned - 3 litre rotary valve v twin. Hand built! Not a CNC in sight!!!!

Those headers are insane! How hot would the hood/bonnet get?

Not sure. They said in the interview that they are just standard stainless. The whole body of the car is made out of CF.

Those headers are going to glow under any sort of boost. The heat loss is bad for power as well as engine bay temperatures.
