Put it this way - I'd love to see Hamilton win in an orange car.

I still love seeing either win though.

Life's too short to worry about the whims of F1 fanatics, be they team or driver oriented. If they don't want to talk to you, take that as a sign that there are better things to do in life. Sadly, some people take their support to truly obsessional levels and it's unhealthy.

I will always be a team first guy, when I started watching F1 (1997) in Mclaren we had Coulthard and Hakkinen and then:

Coulthard - Raikkonen
Raikonnen - Montoya
Alonso- Lewis
Lewis - Kovalainen
Lewis - Button
Button - Perez
Button - Alonso
Alonso - Vandorne

I don't care who's driving the Mclaren car as long as the team wins!
As for Lewis, Like i said in the previous post, I respect him a lot, he is one of the best but from the moment he left he is nemesis no1.

For me, its weird. I think Nemesis No. 1 is Fernando Alonso. He left the team when the team was performing at its best. Exploding with the spygate and all that dirty play in Hungary with Lewis on standby. BUT... he is NEMESIS #1. So for me, to redeem this, he has to win in a McLaren again... and I'm still waiting.
With Hamilton, I think he just really lost his patience with McLaren. It was a time when Ron Dennis left the team (his second papa) and Martin was holding the reins. I think it was not the McLaren he knows which makes me think that he is not really a NEMESIS but someone who decided (and good decision for him...) to go to greener (VERY GREEN) pastures.

Pure opinion, but that's how I feel. So excited for the new season though.

With Alonso, Ron made promises to him that weren't kept and the relationship was untenable at that time so leaving was the only thing to be done really. Spygate was happening with or without Alonso and not to excuse Alonso's own actions afterwards but Lewis wasn't exactly innocent at Hungary either so it's pretty easy for me to forgive all in all.

Especially with how he's performed on and off track since coming back. Without that maybe I'd hold more of a grudge but as you say it's opinion.

If you don’t hate anything or anyone you’re either a liar or a saint. I for one am neither.

I have no problem about people being passionate about who does or does not deserve the win and what constitutes fair racing. At least it shows they care.

Anyway with regards to Hamilton, would find it a bit strange to say I am fan of someone I could have fathered. But truth is I have been impressed by his driving since his GP2 days and still am.

Mclaren and HAM is in theory a great match. But I fear that McLaren has made a series of strategic mistakes that no driver can repair. I think mclaren should first solve their infighting and their mismanagement of supplier relations and get their head down to racing. Then they can fight their way back. But they have lost a lot of ground.

Brilliant driver, worst attitude. Loves everyone when wins, blames the team and everyone else when loses.

Can't say I've seen him do that for years ?
As I'm sure you will say I'm wrong, could you give me the examples of him blaming everyone when he loses. Remember every driver loses more than they win, so he must do a lot of blaming.

Good but Overpaid !!!

If Stoffel performs this year and with Lando Norris there is no reason to even waste a second on Hamilton.

Your concept of a saint is pretty soft

You only hate someone when you think too much about him. If you simply ignore people you don´t like, you never reach that point

Anycase I never said I hate none, I said I don´t hate any F1 driver wich is VERY different. Any F1 driver is a top class driver, if you don´t like him ok, I don´t like some, but I try to keep respect for them, they´ve become one of the best in planet earth and that deserver some respect I think

edit: if I wanna enter your game now I´d say if you hate F1 drivers you´re either a hater or a pretty immature person, or probably both, but I won´t :P

Fair enough, but you are aware he was joking with his nephew about that right ? he wasn't actually shaming his nephew like all the morons in the media were suggesting ?
Hell, I'm nowhere close to being a Lewis fan, but it's ridiculous that he caught crap over that. Boys don't wear dresses.

Fan from the Hakkinen-Schumacher days, I have always followed the team year after year). So as you can imagine, when Hamilton left with all the other technicians and engineers I had the feeling that the McLaren team suffered a big blow...as someone else said, he became the enemy, kinda like a "bad McLaren vs good McLaren" sort of thing hahahah.

His craftsmanship as a driver is undeniable, I just think he's been very lucky and I would have liked to see him in a midfield car. Kinda like Fernando, Seb, Ricciardo or Verstappen have done in the past.

As much as I have supported the team, I'm not one of those that glorifies Ron Dennis. He had his time, but in his return he made one too many mistakes that put the team in the situation it is now.
