Excuse me and I intend no offense to anybody but I feel this kind of information is pretty much available all around and for many years. It was McLaren who pioneered in this field back in late 80s (correct me if I'm wrong).
However, I would be more interested in the actual cross-section cutaway pictures of a F1 cockpit. I always wondered how the 'sandwich' really looks like?
They say they are using aluminum honeycomb?? I mean aluminium is soft and and honeycomb structure is not really strong (I tend to assume so) and how does it get the structural integrity to withstand a crash like Heikki's?
Videos, close-up pictures of buidling process is more insightful, I think.
