Honda F1 project leader Yusuke Hasegawa has outlined a number of reasons why Honda has been struggling so badly in the beginning of the 2017 Formula One season. He confirmed that lots of problems were not discovered while running on the dynamo meter.

Idle sound means nothing. Honda runs the car on half cylinders in the pits before firing all 6 at exit. We don't know why they run it as such, whether it be a trick firing order or layout or just something to hide audible details from opponents. Is it me or is there a weird sound on upshift? Is it a vibration?
