Ironic that after Boullier talking about not having time to practice pit stops for Honda problem on last 3 years the car stops today. Hope he better shut up with his arrogant BS for a while

When I see the results I will believe his remarks of "Now we have a F1" because the rest of the teams have some humility specially before championship is started.

I know it's only testing but why wouldn't a Huge Team trying like McLaren, obviously trying to attract sponsors and encourage everyone with regards to the pu change, be able to place a new cover to not show the burn marks ?
Are they that far behind on producing parts that they only have one cover for the whole testing period ?
I thought they would have at least one a spare in case of an accident.

Or could they maybe paint or sticker over that ?

It seemed to me in the Amazon video that they were behind schedule when it came to certain things as well.

Is this just a McLaren thing guys...............or is every Team so pushed to the limit as far as producing these parts ?

No point shipping out a new one if you think it will just happen again. I doubt they care tbh and are probably focused on solving any issue around its cause and then the general testing headaches.

I get what you mean though and Ron would be livid I'm sure. :D

the conclaves should be full with Australia parts.
. so redesign should be done, but then the manufacturing of the carbon parts is the dificult part due to lack of space/time

.. i think they are just full so... make a few holes now ant try and mitigate the problem

Ron would be livid if a single scratch was found on the front wing after going through a gravel trap

Wasn't thinking about shipping out a new one to be honest mate.
I just figured all the teams would have at least 2 in case of a crash ?

I guess they have a replacement but if it shows burning marks too will bring speculations and bad press. So better to stick with the old one and do as many holes on it until find what it works. At the end is just a £2 screw problem if you believe Boullier
