says problems are minor,speed is there,happy to see STR happy about their problems but Mclaren not only aiming to beat them but also other teams,Alonso is happy whit the car,says its good to find problems here not in AUS, says car will be fast and reliable in AUS...and car will be out shortly

I must say Zak sounds very relaxed in that short interview. Sounds like they have been very ambitious with the packaging and interesting that he says they are happy with their speed. Might have expected him to say they are not at the moment but will be getting faster or something like that but no, was very unambiguous.

Engine change takes around 4 hours if all goes well, I hope around 4 pm we will see them back on track

Everyone is glossing over the fact this is the same engine cover with damaged heat shield from last week, following that exhaust clip failure. The cooling slots are purely a temporary fix, and allowing them to run under relatively normal conditions. It's unrelated to any of the stoppages over the past 2 days, so please stop jumping to outlandish conclusions that McLaren are plagued with overheating issues. They really aren't. I'd be more concerned about there being an issue with installation/assembly procedures possibly leading to needless problems.

So I guess they are calling the day, for whatever reason, batteries, leaks, cooling. At least they don't need the car running and switch for pit stops practice if the problems are minor obviously.
If tomorrow they don't manage a good amount of laps it is fair to say that it is not looking good.
