from live feed: "Big moment for Leclerc! He has a snap of oversteer through T9 and just about avoids the gravel" - does that mean he is in the gravel?

No that earlier run was apparently a HS run. He is currently on MED running consistent 1m19's :wtf:

Scary eh!!!

He was on mediums for his last run, not his fastest one. Come on man!

Do you guys not read or follow the topic? #-o Bottas quickest lap, was on HS. His latest consistent run within the 1.19.x were on mediums (and probably more interesting to analyze and draw conclusions from than his one-lap effort on the HS).
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

For reference Bottas's laps all would have been in the top 6 in qualifying last year.

If I am not mistaken, I think the current cool temperatures during testing account for a bit of laptime (and of course, free choice of tires). Didn't last years testing times compare favorably to Q3 times at Barcelona later in the year (comparing like for like on same compounds)?

The fumes coming out the rear crash structure of Ferrari powered teams can cause quite a few problems in the garage I can imagine:

We should not focus too much on fast laps atm tbh- because nobody knows what kind of program each team is running..

Perhaps some teams are focussing soley on the slow corners, or perhaps the opposit- and therefor not running with an ideal setup for overall, resulting in slower laptimes then you might expect/ would like to see.

*) not denying that it is always nice to be on top.
