all the more evidence that the track is not slower than yesterday, on the contrary it seems, unless MAG in the Haas is on par with HAM in the Mercedes of course

I will tell you what's impressive... K-Mag just did a 1.18.57 on SS... so if the top 3 are .5 second faster than HAAS.. a 1.16s if definately on the cards at circuit de catalunya

Testing parameter changes with the measured effects would be my guess.

Need more heat in the front : do X,Y,Z

More in the rear? : A,B,C

Stuff like that. I imagine there are several other changes like torsion spring changes, ride height changes, camber changes that are simply defining the operating window. They aren't going to be racing in Barcelona but once this year, the teams need data to handle the unknowns of the other circuits on the fly.

Which again shows that all the talk about merc and red bull being ahead of Ferrari is bs. Of course it could be true but it's pure speculation
