Monday saw Aston Martin Red Bull release the first pictures of its brand new RB14, just before the car was sent out on a wet Silverstone track for a shakedown and filming opportunity.

The mounting at the front of the X-wing where it connects to the bargeboard assembly simply broke.

Really wish we had more angles of this update. It's interesting that it looks like the new wings on their bargeboards aren't connected to their chassis like similar wings on the Mercedes and Williams. I wonder if it's an actual update or just a compromise to maintain the rigidity of the sidepod deflectors.
Yes I was thinking the same thing (about the chassis connection) but thought that it might compromise the air flow into the radiator too much. Air going into radiator is above this whole area, and closer to the tub as you said.
