If anything, Hartley is super consistent. Gasly's lap at initial high fuel run is very disappointing, at sauber level pace. Gasly has the single lap and low fuel pace but Hartley shines in longer runs.
Kinda disappointed they have not figured the tyres out and optimised the setup. Haas and to some extent Mclaren seem to be able to find the sweet spot on the tyres very quickly even on green tracks. The rain will definitely help them.

That is a fully developed and understood car. It doesn't have any more pace in it.

At the end of last year the STR12 was way more then 0.9 seconds slower then the rb14. Much closer to double that courtesy of the spare parts Renault. I don't think there is alarm to be had at toro rosso. Both guys are rookies at albert park and the track is dirty and slippery.

As I stated earlier and as had TR admited, they are behind with chasis/aero development (as is McLaren) due to late engine swap and had to deal with back of the car due to engine accommodation.
Just let them work in peace this season or at least first half.

It looks like so. I think we have to wait a few race to see real pecking order. We yet to see first qualy of the year

People way too optimistic. No way they were gonna fight for top 6 at Melbourne. Gonna be a long year with the lack of TR budget. Backmarkers.

i think tr long run pace is good just need to dial in for one laps. but also new drivers learning is always uphill. look at sirotkin. same story. my hope is tr can bring a b spec with last year redbull chassis by mid year

Why would they do that, especially in mid season?
