Pitstop loss in normal race is 23s according to commentary. Under VSC the speed on the straight is a lot slower so you probably lose 6-8 seconds less. On pit entry you can push and have a little less road to travel, so that's probably another 3s. That's what happened I guess and Merc never noticed....

Is alonso holding back on purpose?
Is he really slowest of them all?
Even renault and other mclaren?
Doubt it.
For this race, this is max pace they can IMO.
So they are 1 sec behind red bull on race pace

Seb will win this by more than 5 seconds. He who wipes siles last wipes the best!

On the display of Lewis it was visible he changed back from "Attack mode" 5 laps before end. After that he started losing 1 second a lap.

Well what can you say.

Vettel really is one lucky boy. The positive for Hamilton though is he clearly had some serious pace near the end and the car looked to take care of the tyres very well. I suspect if he had stayed in the lead and kept the pace relatively hot it would have been a 20 second win.

Seb showing so much skill in the corners, Lewis just going fast in the straights. Seb broke him again 2.5 now.
The fall after this pride is going to be glorious.

VET did get super lucky with the VSC. Mercedes looks scary good, so it doesn't look like there will be much of a challenge for the rest of the season. Of course this race track isn't always that representative of the pecking order, so you never know...

No doubt it was luck for Ferrari, but you’ve gotta take your opportunities as they arise. Great drive from both Seb and Lewis in the final stages. Lucky, sure, but we’ll deserved! This is sport!

If your in a marathon and the guy in front is faster, would you really be proud if you won by getting in a car for half a mile of the marathon?

That's essentially what happened.

Vettel very lucky but great unflinching drive at the end.
Mercedes has a lot of pace.
"Trulli" great job from Alonso.

Also WTF is going on at Haas pits?
