How is it.. FE could ever really need the bloody halo?

Since they don't go fast enough = to generate 'killer force' - the FIA's given 'rationale' - for halo, in F1.

Are you serious or just trolling?

Even 100km/h is enough to kill someone if he receive a direct impact on the helmet (depending on the object weight and shape obviously), but even if not enough to kill him, more than enough to knock him out and cause a serious accident with a wall or another car

If you don´t like FE you can ignore this thread, but please stop trolling

Love the huge diffusers and lack of rear wing, this is what all modern formula cars would look like if their rules didn't force them into a more traditional (and less efficient) look. The one awkward aesthetic area is the pair of giant diagonal supports that go out from the engine cover to hold the rear-tire winglets, those winglets could have been supported with simple mounting to the sidepods. Gen I car received updates after 1 or 2 seasons, maybe Gen 2 will as well.

Wow the Gen 2 looks like a batmobile! That's awesome! Can't wait for next season when the cars are on track!

There needs to be a clear distinction between a open wheel car and a sports car prototype. It is alright to have a open wheel car with wheel pods to reduce drag while keeping suspension elements open to view. This car is a fusion of the two at the rear and just looks ugly.
This is not an "open wheel" car. It's a formula car.

I do get why they do so though. There are a few 'issues' that are present here in relation to the open wheeler as we know it.
1. It lacks a rear wing
2. The diffuser ends further to the rear, and the lack of a rear wing only increases this perception.
So?

The rear wings are an implementation of an F1 exploratory study done years ago to reduce wake turbulence. Some of you may remember the "centerline downwash" concept the FIA proposed in 2005. It should be no surprise that an FIA driven spec-series would implement its previous research--including the halo.
Huh. Interesting. It should help if the illustrations have anything to do with reality.
Though I would have much preferred the Head/Byrne proposal for "ground effect" (not really) wing-cars.

Though this way it looks even more fragile than usual (already fragile) formula cars. Especially with the oversized diffuser. This might result in even more rubble due to contact.

The halos sucks as always. Just make a halfway decent windscreen as Indycar...

So you are taking a two month old post and completely clears it of any context. Why exactly? What could I possibly reply to that?

No. I quoted exactly what I reacted to, which does not need any further context.
But anyway, the original post is just one click on the arrow away...

Okay sure, what did you even mean? And frankly, "so?" isn't even an actual reply on the quote, since, if you looked back, you'd see that the post was about the different appearance compared to other open wheelers.

I have absolutely no clue what you are even trying to say

Just found out that Formula-e is coming to ‘my city’ (Zurich/Switzerland) on June 10th! Really excited and didnt know where else to post this.

Has anyone else visited a F-e race yet? Naturally, all the grandstand tickets are sold out, but apparently along the track you can watch for free (though i assume you probably wont see much?).
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II
