IT would be the same. Pirelli makes durable tyre as f1 wants.

You would then have 1 stop races with cars stacked behind others because they couldn't get close enough.

Let's go back to 80's and with ground effects 8)

Since it's a night race if anyone can capture a shot of the tailpipe flames during downshift, I'd really appreciate it. Flame color will tell us more or less what they're burning and at what temperature.

Have you ever heard of "fan boost?"
It is a system I proposed to allow cars to follow closely. The cars would have small downforce generating fans that would be enabled when cars come within a half second of each other. Dirty air? No problem.

How is it possible that in formula where there is hard cap on fuel limit, similar performing engines are able able to have such a big difference in fuel consumption?

I dont buy that Ferrari has fuel consumption issues. That was a AMUS way to explain Ferraris lack of pace in testing IMO.

I also have an idea :wink: : why didn't the thought of painting Halo in helmet colours cross minds of F1's big-bucks-thinkers? It would solve problem of visibility of helmets and compliment them in identifying drivers.

I see overtaking, dirty air and 3 engines are still on the agenda:
- Is the great discovery of dirty air effect and invention of "evil 3 engine rule preventing overtaking" by chance an effect of Hamilton behind Vettel or Verstappen behind Haas? Both issues will disappear when it is their turn to lead.
- F1 audience can even use inablity to overtake with DRS as an argument against it.
Weekend prediction: more whinging about engines

Easy. Use standard fans and limit the maximum rpm of the fans.
It's not any more dangerous than failed DRS, failed brake by wire, delaminated tyres or any other failed part outside of the safety cell. It's just a fan connected to the Energy store.

Why not allow DRS anywhere on the circuit as long as you're less than 1 second behind.

I also think this is a good idea. Maybe use higher camber on the outside of the corner.
And of course something has to be done with aero.
In theory, keeping this fuel flow limit but decreasing amount of fuel would allow faster car to save fuel and then use higher power mode to overtake, but this would probably backfire....

Isn't the reason those Bridgestone michelin days seemed better the fact that refuelling during the races was allowed? Then you can have tires that last forever and drivers can push. It opens up different strategies...

But some articles stated that sometimes Ferrari PU needs around 10kgs more fuel on a race distance,that is a lot.So there is a big difference between the thermal efficieny of the Mercedes PU and the Ferrari PU? I also find it really strange that at this level of competition there is more than a few percent difference between their efficiency.
