Yes, but those are not milling cutter marks, they are grinding/honing marks, which you wouldn't normally bother with unless it was a port....or a show head.
Given the die grinder with the abrasive roll in the picture I guess they've just been tidied up for photos.
Or theyre more obsessed with weight than an F1 team :D :lol:

Pretty sure that mill is suspended from an out-of-shot crane, but at <1lb per hp, it was powerful for its size.

You can clearly see the crane lifting rig above the engine with taught cables - so yeah I agree it's attached to a crane. If it wasn't, it would have fallen over on to its side.

is that a roller bearing crankshaft?
if it is, how did they build it up?
and oil up the rods?

Rolling element mainbearings, yes Johnny, with split races..
(albeit, even the old Mach IV triple featured a built-up, fully rolling element crank with oil feed to big-end pins).
