Fluidized ballast. Tungsten powder suspended in fluid, pumped to various bag tanks positioned around the car. /speculation

That or the party dust is in there, for party mode.

:?: I've only ever seen them in recent F1 as a rigid canister at the front of the engine.

That's the main oil tank. All teams run extra oil tanks and these can be either carbon or flexible bag tanks. I recall Manor had an ATL oil tank in the front of the sidepods.

Most probably yes. It looks different from the side too

Thank you for the response and additional photos. And I agree. Definitely looks different than the testing/Melbourne-spec engine cover. After my initial post, I pulled up the AMuS gallery and saw those profile shots.

Will be interesting to see if the car is opened up a bit in the rear as well. Perhaps some vents on each side of the cockpit, as well?

A funky shaped part of the battery is my guess.

There is a hole visible on the top.

It looks more like some kind of radiocommunications device...

Scarbs says he suspects it is an auxiliry oil tank moved there to help with slimming the rear.

It is mandatory for the battery to be placed under the fuel tank.

There seems to be a sealed-off vent at the top of the engine cover:

Great shot of the duct just behind the halo's rear fixing point.
F-duct, S-duct....may we call this the H-duct?
