Toro Rosso STR13 Honda

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Have those two fins on the diffuser central section always been there?

Am I the only one that notices the light under the STR13? I don't know if it's a height sensor or what, but there's a clear light shining on the ground.

It was mentioned practice or qualifying - apparently a road speed sensor.

The car has good pace when the team gets the setup good. Throughout the whole race Gasly was gaping the midfield. During the second stint Gasly was pulling away from HAAS on a harder compound.

I saw a light under the noose but I thought it is because of night race ( Once I thought Ham's car got fired but ıt was a track light mirroring from his helmet  )

JK said in preseason testing that all teams have one of different types and it was for monitoring tyres. Not sure why this one has a light on it but it's clearly more noticeable on the night race.
It's not a new thing this season either.

It's an optical sensor, it measures not only road speed, but also the direction. So it's used to see how much slip there is in the front tyres. i.e. lots of tyre slip compared to steering angle suggests understeer

MovistarF1 (a Spanish television) said that Toro Rosso, in addition to the bargeboard, had changes in the nose and diffuser.
Does anyone know these updates?
Thanks
