Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 C37

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

The upper radiator is only as wide as the top inlet.
Ok this explains it. Not so evident in the sketch.

What does Mr. Toet have to say about the advantage of this setup Scarbs?

Cooling setup is slightly different on both sides; The right side features a gurney at the exit.

Are you comparing it to the photo in pre-season testing? I am sorry because I am a noob in aerodynamics. How effective do you think is this diffuser? and how can I look if it is good or not? (ie what is flow separation?)

Massive improvement indeed, the separation is essentially all gone. Not sure if that’s still a small eddy at the top though.

Side pods definitely don't look so chunky, it's "just" that undercut is lacking.

I only now realised that the pullrod pickup on the Sauber is similar to that of the McLaren, maybe even more inboard and a bit more clunky.
