Is it just me or Ricciardo is looking like a pedophile on this picture?
I thought it was hilarious, and knowing his personality I dare say it was very much on purpose.

What chances are for Lewis to qualify on soft tyres for Q2, then in the race doing a one stop strategy? He could do a long first stint on them (it`s the 2017 medium tyre so he could do 55-60% of race distance) and then switch to the SS tyres ...
Here`s the main arguments:
1. He said after FP2 that wear is very low on both S and SS tyres
2. Lower track temps at the end of the race will help SS tyres getting into their working window
3. Having a light car he could stretch that final SS tyre stint
4. Here there`s a high chance of a SC phase
5. I know that starting on a harder tyre could hamper his getaway from the grid but here at least you could do some overtaking ...

2018 soft tyres are not 2017 medium. Quite the opposite.

TR still hanging around there nipping at a Q3 spot. I wonder if they'll look the same in qualifying.

If I could respectfully borrow your post:
This is half a good example of delta competition (not quite racing)

Mercedes needs to get their crap together, the can't give Ferrari points like this.
They haven't given them anything yet
Apart from the win in the last race? I thought it was well established that they could have gone quicker after their first stop covering a Vettel stop under (V)SC but they did not because their strategists --- up
I thought this was the Bahrain thread. Sorry I must have missed the title being Australia

Thanx dude, your quite right!
So he could do 40-45% on S tyre (2017 - SS tyre) and 55-60% on M tyre (2017 - S tyre)

Well you made a very vague statement as a reply to a post which implied the continuation of Merc's f'ups :^)

And given the FP1-3 results it looks like they might be losing important points in this race as well, not only to Ferrari but also to RBR and potentially others ... unless they're massively sandbagging

Don't know why Verstappen was pushing for another timed lap, his crash seems a bit silly.
