You are badly hoping Alonso gets a good start and catches up to gasly' I. E. Gets into the top 10 at the start and closes on gasly throughout the race. Otherwise It will be Embarrassing. Very embarrassing. GP2.

It nearly happened, but the mediums went off. Great race nonetheless

Not sure we were watching the same race

First part of my statement happened and then Alonso was ahead on mediums but pitted before gasly caught up. We were watching exactly the same race. You just miss understood.

I just wanted to see an on track battle, even if it meant gasly overtaking Alonso.

Anyhow, great drive from him. A few more races like this and he'll be replacing someone at red bull

Yeah, hartley is very Lucky because no one RB driver from Junior series is ready right now. I still hoping that honda call Rossi in the middle of season and sent Hartley to indy instead. Or Wicken!

Redbull having engine issues reminds me of Toro-Rosso at the end of last year. Hope Renault hasn't started supplying them engine parts from the old parts bin.

Car looked ok from top speed point of view, but still think the battery is running out a bit earlier than other at the end of the straight. Gasly peaked at i think 295 and went back to 286, while the other cars keep building speed until breaking. Vandoorne got past Hartley (with a worn out tire) but that was with DRS and at the end of the straight, not in the middle of it like we used to see.

Yeah.. He definitely had the pace. He was constantly lapping quicker than the midfield I believe. Just a shame he got the penalty and couldn't get his race together. He could have easily been in the points today.

Red bull didn't have engine issues. Ricciardo had a gearbox failure and verstappen damaged his transmission after his puncture.

Would love to see them get a shot right now but I would rather see them stay in indycar for this season. They both are the class of the indycar field right now, in championship contention.
