Gasly is 314kmh on the Speed Trap. Looking good on the straight so far... Only Bottas is ahead with 315kmh. The Mclaren was at 303kmh...

Lets see the FP2 with the setup more advanced... Not so good than Bahrain, but i'm satisfied

Not much you can take away from that, Gasly's lap time is only slightly quicker despite the speed advantage. P2 and 3 will be more representative

Hopefully Gasly picks up this track pretty fast, looks like he is, but it'll be a disadvantage this year, Hartley also never driven this track in F1. We'll see what boys can pull out of their hats

Well, Hartley has adequate WEC experience on this track so I'd reckon he should have a small advantage. Gasly has -I assume- of course explored it in the simulator, however. Whether that gives you complete track 'knowledge' remains to be seen.

Not bad at all. Alonso had a DRS + Vandoorne Tow for his quali sim lap, so I think Toro rosso is the 6th team here at the Mclaren Level. Renault and Hass are a bit ahead of them it seems.

The race pace looks good, and they seem to be good at tire degradation too. Hartley did 19 laps with Ultrasoft

have you got the race pace data for toro rosso?. i think we might get gasly into q3 not sure but i hope. race pace if good then iam happy.

I followed the FP2 live streaming, and for what I could see, laptimes with ultrasoft were average on 1,39,7 and with soft I saw Gasly doing 2 tenth better than mclarens and force india. Pace comparation with Renault and Hass seems they are 2 tenth ahead on average lap... So, points will be possible but not easy

Gasly is the only driver who is targeting Q3 appearance here without any previous experience of the track. I'm expecting him to improve during the weekend. Race and Q pace seems to be in the mix with all midfield teams and that's really important given how they performed in AUS. Melbourne more likely was one-off bad showing from team. I dare to say Toro Rosso is actually the best of the rest if a driver like Alonso was behind the wheel. I think it's pretty safe to say he is a better driver than GAS mobile. Kudos to Toro Rosso and of course to Honda for massive gains during the winter.

for some reason i believe if they not qualy in top10 is an advantage. soft tyre last longer US have high degradation
