Won't he be subjected to gardening leave? His track record in F1 hasn't been anything exceptional, apart from Brawn and then with Audi in WEC.mclaren111 wrote: ↑05 May 2018, 15:04adrianjordan wrote: ↑05 May 2018, 14:09Purely speculation on my part, but I find it convenient that Jorg Zander has suddenly left Sauber...
I thought exatcly the same thing. And Matt Morris also came from Sauber.
Toyota has no competition in LMP1 this year. They are 2+sec/lap faster than privateers ...Ground Effect wrote: ↑05 May 2018, 22:15A bit off topic, Fernando's #8 Toyota won at Spa... He did say he would win in 2018... Congrats to him and the #8 car. Toyota actually secured a 1-2 finish, with the #7 car recovering well to finish 2nd.
Same in F1 from 2013 till 2016 mate. (not identical but you take the point)restless wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 11:15Toyota has no competition in LMP1 this year. A win is a win, but :/
Well, using Nico is a fair example. Lewis has won in cars that weren't the fastest as well though (2009 in particular springs to mind)...
Not really 2+ sec/lap faster in race conditions:restless wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 11:15Toyota has no competition in LMP1 this year. Stilll have to beat the sister car. That is the first rule no?
That is true but the sister car qualified 1st and was then penalised and started 1 lap down. So the result isn't particularly reflective, especially considering they somehow finished 2nd.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 23:44Stilll have to beat the sister car. That is the first rule no?
