This is going to be a long week...I can't imagine a front end that is different to anything on the grid, so look forward to being underwhelmed!! Lol

Remember, this is the car that was predicted to be in Australia, so I don't expect any miracles

Rumors saying Mclaren new FW(or nose) quite unique and rivals might consider copying it.

Interstingly enough @platinum zealot was speculating about Bargeboard DRD coming around Spain GP.... as far back as winter testing.
So I was wondering something and I noticed you have implied you know someone within Mclaren. Since I'm as gullible as a grandma I choose to believe you.
Do people at the team, know why their quali pace, relative to other teams, is so much worse than their race pace? I assume its something to do with the tyres. Do they have a solution?
This next couple of races are going to be especially hard to overtake and I'd hate to see them stuck at the back of the midfield.
Has their race pace really been that much better ? if it wasn't for DNF, safety car and mistakes from drivers above them i think Fernando would of only scored points once or twice this season.

AMuS Article on the Barcelona Upgrade:
https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/for ... neue-nase/

- Nose passed the Crash Test on April 11th. Seemingly a mix of existing Concepts, but never done in a Combination like the Barca Version.

- 2 Working Groups over the Winter. One for the Base Car they did testing with. One for the 2018 Aero Concept, which doesn't work without the new Nose ans thus had to be held back.

- No promises regarging Performance.

If Mclaren can develop like RBR did last year, then I would make that bet for the last 4-5 races of the year (on merit)

You are too late man! Alonso was not just on podium, but won the WEC last week.

Alonso Baku Onboard camera from Formation Lap until exiting PIT (Most important parts at least)
Apologies if its already posted. Wasn't following closely the forum for a few days.
I just saw the video, and its kind of related with the whole Williams protest and all.

What about it is worthy of protest?

In Montmelo with the poor perfomance in qualifying? No way if there´s no carnage at the start or similar

The article speculates of Force India/Mercedes hybrid nose design.
Anyone got an opinion on that?

Speculate on the Speculation?

I myself was expecting more of a RBR nose...

There were rumours that they were looking at the force india nose internally last year, so I wouldn't be too surprised if it had similar features to the 'nostril' ducts

I certainly hope not, one car with those nostrils is already ugly enough. It could be a blend between a Mercedes nose with their own slotted pillars, or a hybrid between their current nose with Mercedes' cape. Introducing a cape seems large enough that it could delay an entire aero package.
