yes but it was in freezing conditions. the harder tyres will suit the warmer weather much better and might be able to extract similar performance

How much difference in terms of gain between SS and HS for this kind of track ? I hope 17.3 would be possible.

I keep telling you folks, Spain will be a nice modest step forward, enough to make them fastest of the rest in race trim, but I don't think they'll ever have one lap pace this season. By Silverstone, or France if we're lucky, will we see the McLaren really get into it's stride.

In Barsa Alonso may qualify "best of the rest" purely on his skills.
The place where SV qualifies will be the real indicator ...

McLaren does not have the same sea re to win as Ferrari does. bad performance can only take you so far before heads has to start rolling.

You need say BS car was media invention, they themselves came out said new car in Australia then Spain. If you are not going to deliver keep your mouth shut rather than fool fans.

I hope they advance enough to fight off Renault. I think factory Renault is their real rival this year, not RB or any top team, despite PR bs... If they can beat Renault and keep 4th place in constructors, that would be a success.
