Looks like some diffuser/floor reworking near the crash structure too?

Has the coke bottle shape been slimmed down?
I'm not sure, I think it was just the angle earlier making it look slimmer, as I thought the same initially.

They've had that for a while, can't see if there's any alterations on it though, not good pictures yet.

I think with the more flat profile this is what they call less agressive, but then with more stable performance, atleast thats how it was explained when ferrari changed

It looks a lot more aggresive to me, not flatter.

I'm looking at this and thinking "how in earth is all of this legal?". Not insinuating, I'm sure it is legal. Really amazed that the frontal bodywork regulations left this much scope open.

Also consider what it took to get this through crash testing. One could say it would have taken the same effort it took mercedes as the bare nose cone is of the same shape. However, there's quite a bit less frontal mass and the regulations do prescribe a specific deacceleration for the first few cm's of the crash structure.

I also kind of disagree it's just a mash up. Technically it's heavily inspired by mercedes, but extremely refined with a much high integration of the nose cone, the wing pylons and the snowplough. It's basically pure turning vane now the moment the airflow hits the nosecone all the way to the bargeboards. However, despite looking so dramatic don't expect huge laptime improvement.

No, I don't think it's worth a lot on it's own - the new turning vanes/bb and floor/diffuser changes are probably worth more - but I do think it's setting the car up for a lot of changes downstream this season.

Look at the 'V' right by the rear end - it's steeper than before and there's more flaps to turn the air above.
The bottom 'flat' section looks barely changed from before though.

Some points to discuss.

I am still struggling to understand the role of the slots on the side of the nosecone since they end up right before the upper wishbone.

Also why retain the 9 slotted FW on a draggy car? To be honest I was expecting more focus on the sidepod/bargeboard area

We might not have seen all the upgrades yet.
