Is it not also the case though that the supersofts being used here are a different construction than the supersofts we’ve seen so far this season?

Vettel made a comment about them being different and hence difficult to understand. I think this is affecting all teams ability to switch them on - as they’re fundamentally different to what they know - not just the conditions.

Since Pirelli didn't mention any specific tyre, it should be assumed that all 3 compounds have different construction for this race

It's really cloudy. Are we certain that rain is not a probability for today?

This year Spanish GP tailor made tyres for Mercedes seem to work correctly ... especially for Mercedes.

So the illegal looking wing mirrors are actually illegal.

Why would Ferrari try such an obviously illegal looking thing if it actually was illegal? Would have just been a waste of time.
It most possibly was not illegal, but FIA changed it afterwards, like they always do. A bit ridiculous.

Quali speed not good, every single Alonso run is compromised by traffic, but i think Renault, Haas and FI are slightly faster...

Well, it was Mercedes who asked for tyre modification since they had a lot of blistering in testing.

And someone still thinks that Fia is Ferrari international assistance. I would say that FIA acts only to help Mercedes (maybe so they have discounts on the safety and medical cars :-))

Mid 16's for the pole? If the temperatures don't rise, Merc have a good chance I'm guessing. Assuming of course that Ferrari aren't sandbagging.

You are not allowed wings (more then 20mm) on the halo, Ferrari added a wing and let it have a very small Black connection piece to say it is a mirror support (I think). Now the question is If doing so is illegal.

Horner said on Skysports F1 yesterday during FP2 that RedBull looked at a similar idea but didn't pursue it
as they thought it was illegal. Could just be the usual Horner spin of course but I don't think it's all that safe to
be hanging mirrors off the halo device.

Well, you don't just think if something is illegal or not, you look it up. These are rules written down so it makes less to no sense to tell that they thought it was not illegal.
The rule tells that you are not allowed such big wings on the halo. Ferrari didn't put the wing on the halo, but on the mirror. So technically it is allowed. Ferrari went to the legal limits which is absolutely ok and FIA declared it as illegal afterwards which is really ridiculous. But I'm not surprised anymore. :)
