Isn't it a deal with options that needs to be firmed up? Because Zak has stated that the line up is not confirmed and hopes Fernando stays.
So who takes up the option for it to be firmed up? Is it in Fernando's hands, with him just agreeing, or do Mclaren have to trigger and say we will take up our option on you for 2019?

Martin Brundle just said he hears Renault upgrade is worth about 40bhp, which translates to the region of two thirds of a second (which means more than 0.6secs) Surely he can't be right, in any way.
