Let's not forget the safety car. Just one or two appearances could be enough to close up the field to LH's advantage.

The SC is beginning to make F1 look like open-wheeled NASCAR.

I think he should have gone for a very light fuel load so as to start from 11th, work his way up from 11th since he would be light and go onto 1 or 2 very long stints on the prime tyres. I know absolutely nothing about F1 strategy so if this is completely out of the question tell me. :D

Not far off with the prediction nae

He pitted on lap 19 which is 4 laps earlier than Massa and 2 earleir than Kimi. He certianly did make a mistake in qualy - he should have nailed pole

So his race strategy was passing cars through the service lane?

It seems that Lewis traded his rookie season by his second one, bcs now he is making more mistakes.

And it all came after his cocky statements after the Canadian Pole, saying that his job was finding shortcuts, and he was able to find it quite easily, etc.

Lewis has a massive tallent, but needs evolve, like Massa is doing this year.

Its still only he's second year, he's also very very young. Let him develop in he's own time and your see a difference.

I personally didn't like the way he drove in france but hey we all have good days and bad days. Canada was a different story, but like the Honda test driver said your up to maximum things you can think about at a pit stop. It was a mistake but I bet he wont do it again!!

I agree, I bet he won't be making mistakes like that again lol. (I hope he doesn't at least!)

There's a saying that "A man is not judged by the mistakes he makes, but by the way he deals with those mistakes."

i.e, we must learn from our mistakes. Even if he deals with one mistake by mouthing off when he shouldn't do, its okay, as long as he later LEARNS that he has now made TWO mistakes. Michael Schumacher weren't no angel but he regarded by many as the greatest ever. Mistakes do not maketh the man.

Despite everything, Lewis will end up with a couples of WDC, I believe.
However, he will no longer be the ultimate driver, a phenomena.
And we always expect the next Senna.

120KPH back in the 90's, it then reduced to 100KPH later on and since then a further reduction to 80KPH.

People complain about people just driving for points, but when someone dares to go for a win at every race he competes in, the same people scream murder. A bit hypocritical in my opinion.
