McLaren MCL33

This car aparently works much better when dented and bruised. From now on, mechanics should sledge-hammer it every time before the race :)

But on a serious note, this was a close call.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

Thank you, getting a good look at that experimental front wing, it makes what they're studying obvious, and very interesting.

You're welcome. I'm keen to see if they race that front wing eventually or drop it like 2016.

It's probably more orientated towards 2019 when endplate tunnels will be banned. They screwed 2018 anyway so they can have a head start into 2019 at least...

They're not shifting focus until they solve their problems otherwise they might repeat the same mistakes. It's more likely they're trying to manage front tyre wake which can stall the diffuser.

i do hope they change focus, they just need to understand how the 2019 front wings work to start with... no relation to the current anyway due to all the changes. one thing does not invalidade the other.

also hope they start to bring to test in FP1´s other stuff also other than fw to study for 2019

i would say that this years prize money has a fairly large impact on nextseason too. why would they give up on this year when they are 3 points out of 5th? they would be throwing away millions.

Pretty sure they said they weren't doing anything on 2019 until they have this figured out. By "anything", I presume they mean "aero wise". Slight difference in that "shifting focus", which could be understood as giving up on this years car in favor of working on next years.

its actually this top, cowered in flowvis, brakeduct design that is new, i think the other you refer to is similar to current solution whereas this one is a lot slimmer, finally some would say

Seems like it's a different brake duct tested. The main left inlet is missing and now features only two instead of three or four. Also slimmer, as you mentioned.
