I'm schocked at the falseness of this article. It says that Hamilton and Bottas
on Ultrasofts were 0.75 sec and over 1 sec respectively behind Vettel, but both did their lap times on Softs. They tried faster laps on Ultrasofts at the end, but obviously both had mistakes in their laps, hence not finishing them properly.
A full flying lap is meant to be a clear lap doing a Qualifying simulation. In fact, both did that, but on Softs and both tried to do one on Ultrasofts.
And I don't think that they were sandbagging out of no where. They were sliding all around the track which shows that they were not in relaxed mode.
Just pointing out the mistakes in this article (or did I miss anything?). It still can be that Mercedes does an amazing job overnight and performs best tomorrow.
It is not that complicated. Without mistakes the delta wont be this much.,,
