Merc were nowhere in the dry because of car being terrible in those conditions, not driver skill.

Wont rain tomorrow enjoy while it lasts
I'd be biting my nails tomorrow if I were you hoping the red mist doesn't kick in at the start.

Mixed grid always exciting on a track that difficult to overtake.

Looking forward to the race tomorrow!

Congrats to Hamilton on pole! It looked atrocious out there in q3 with visibility.

I wonder if Mercedes will put Softs on their car for the starts tomorrow. With a 1-2, they may be able to block the Ferraris, even if they start on the USs.
I strongly believe, it's about who comes ahead after first pit stop. So, no points for running longer on this track on the first stint. Make a stop as soon as there is a possibility, bolt the hard(est) tire possible for the car and go all the way to the end. Even if someone behind makes a stop after three fourth of the distance and then bolt the US, still won't be able to overtake and beat.

You caught Hamilton's comment about working together to keep the red boys behind. Hopefully we'll have a battle till the end, Ferrari is head and shoulders the better car for now and will be in tomorrow's conditions.

I mean, this is Hungary - Monaco without the walls. Ferrari have basically two opportunities to pass - the start, and the pit stops.

Sooooo, about tyre choice tomorrow? Hmmmm.

Ferrari was simply slower in these conditions. It has nothing to do with LH's abilities. Otherwise Bottas would've been 8th or so.

Will not be surprised if Hamilton go for US and Bottas S at the start. Same for Ferrari S for Kimi US for Vettel.

Mercedes seemed to be the best car in those conditions, that's true. Hamilton basically had one opponent to beat and it was his team mate.

Ferrari was not slower. Vettel was slower. Kimi could have been in pole but he made a mistake on fresh tires. He was on the same pace as the Merc on the first set of tires.

Well what we do know. Vettel isn’t very good in the wet.

If I were him on seeing rain and leading the race I would start my radio chat with ‘Where’s Hamilton?’.

Did you know Hamilton has won every wet race in the last five years. :D

Now that is just silly. Ability is at least partially involved. Why oh why do things have to be so black or white?
His comment is not as silly as what you think.
Of course it is.

I remember a certain driver winning a race by going from full wets to slicks when everyone else had to do the usual thing of going through inters first. This was at Monaco

Guess who it was?
