Gasly finished on the lead lap... Top job, great drive! It seems it's a little validation of what he said about the chassis, they were strong in wet qualifying and strong in the dry race.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Great strategy too, he never put a foot wrong and they timed the pitstops perfectly.

They were quicker than Renault and Haas, easy, clear 4th fastest car, no doubt

One could well criticize Hartley, but the reality is that he started 2 places behind Gasly and was in a more of a 'close' race and held by traffic.

That elected the team to put him on a different strategy and go for the undercut, however, he was held up, together with the Renaults, behind a slow moving Ocon.

That gave the upper hand to the McLarens, who extended their run to the extent that they had a good pit window over Ocon, thus remaining in the points and pushing the Renaults and Hartley out :(

If it wasn't for Ocon, Hartley could have well finished in the points, but again, it was not meant to be...

Alonso asking for his GP2 engine back :D

So Honda is still sh*t !??, yet Horner and company keep saying it is on par with Renault. Does not bode well for next year for RedBull.

That was a great race! STR pace was best of the rest. Shame that Hartley was stuck on traffic and the Mclarens and Grosjean passed him on the pits. But he was faster with the mediums than the Haas with softs and Renault.

Lets see when the next Honda upgrade comes. SPA or Monza?

When Riccardo was climbing through the field and overtaking on the straights, could not help notice that he was having to come from quite far behind ToroRosso. On a short straight the engine has a lot of umph its seems. The result was due to great quali yesterday. Felt sorry for Hartley, Gasly had a poor start and was side by side with Hartley which allowed KMag to get ahead. After that it was just the matter of holding to place but the strategy to pit early and cover Hulk back fired. Norris can stay in GP2 and improve his trait, did he win this week? Albon maybe should get a shot next year.

No, Honda isn't bad at all, I agree there's little to choose between Honda and Renault, but on this track power is less of a factor. That's why Red Bull were optimistic coming here, even with their power deficit. Toro Rosso were clearly quicker than Haas and Sauber, who, don't forget have brand new and upgraded Ferrari engines. So we have to compliment the chassis here. But if we get to Spa and Monza and they're still in this position, or close to, the engine takes the acclaim.

Lando finished 2nd in the feature race yesterday, behind another Mclaren junior Nyck de Vries. Lando was brilliant when it was wet, destroyed the field, then it got dry and got destroyed by Nycke.

i wonder if there are any more upgrades fom TR? saturady qualify is hard because the ferrari goes into another planet mode. lets be honest. harlty got a point in baku because all other retired and he got a point in changable conditions in germany when sainz got a penalty and he got lucky with him staying out while gas was brought in for full wets. i dont mind who comes in for brendon as long as he is quick . brendon nice guy but too late for f1
