Gasly I said. Gasly strikes me as a bit of a hot head if things aren't going his way. Two primadonna's is not what RB wants to deal with right now. So I feel they will keep Gasly in TR or loan him out until Max leaves RB.

Gasly seems most likely for RB. All their in-house options are young. With Alonso out of contention I don't see any other big names making it in. Renault would have anticipated all this. So they gave Danny $70m to pry him out early, to a midfield team, in order to disrupt their arch nemesis.

Saving money on PU development over the years allows such spending? To think: Danny is the only one to be compensated financially for Renault's engine woes for the past 4.5 years. He may only be a pawn in this battle between Christian and squirrel, but at least he is a highly paid one. /conspiracy

As long as VES and GAS don't crash into each other, what is the issue with that pairing?

It's about challenging in other categories, that's all I've been told. My source was pretty vague.

My guess is IndyCar.

PS long time since the last time I've posted here but the bad performance of the car really made tired of following the sport sadly.

14:08 Are Stoffel's and Alonso's numbers

But I bet you it's a date that he will announce....countdown to August 14th.

Williams are looking for a sponsor (Kimoa) and a driver (Fernando) and he is looking for a new hobby... :D

I think Sainz will get the Redbull seat. RB can keep Gasly in TR, but a Sainz back at TR would be an unhappy Sainz looking for exits for 20/21. RB has also shown how quickly they would switch drivers and would probably include something in Sainz contact to ensure he (and Max) behaves.

And why does everybody assume malice is the first action to take by the team when a driver announces they're leaving? It's a bit sad, and not represented historically.
I think it says more about the person making that assumption. They forget that the teams and drivers are professionals above all else.
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Yes good point! Instead of writing 'everybody', I should have just said 'some people'.

Pretty sad really, even F1 driver power rankings has 2 - Fernando Alonso for the first 12 races.

Pretty sure he'd be running away with it if he was in the red car.

Motorsport Hungary is reporting that, Stroll to Force India and Ocon to McLaren might happen before Spa!

I wonder if Vandoorne's can be kicked out of Mclaren just like that, or if his contract is stronger than that and might require severe compensation as well as agreement by the driver. I also wonder if Brown has the balls to drop Stoffel.

Personally I would like to see Vandoorne's performance for the remainder of the season now that they've fixed his car.

Well, the more likely swap according to article is Stroll to Force India and Ocon to Williams.

I don't know why Ocon would go to McLaren over staying contracted to Mercedes, or why McLaren would want him on a loan deal.
