Scuderia Ferrari SF71H

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

New RW by the looks of it. Only slightly curved up in the middle. Old wastegate layout.

I think the winglets on the crash structure are different and the gear box tunnel exit has a different shape too.

Looks the same to me, just different angle? As far as I'm aware that little tunnel has not changed shape all season.

Can't see anything new tbh. And ive spend ungodly amounts of time over the past few weeks looking at photos of this car (for reasons I can't disclose yet). And at first glance I was convinced these were old photos!

Is that a heatsink bonded into the carbon fiber. Look into the structure under the mirror assembly. Looks like a symbol printed on it.

Both Ferrari fitted with different spec rearwings for FP1. EDIT Kimi has got the spoon wing [more downforce] mounted to his car (upper pic). And we're seeing that suspicious ice bag again!

isn't lower downforce spec on bottom pic?

I guess he got them mixed up. Isn't the spoon wing used when you want similar downforce levels [to a conventional wing] with less drag?

Yes and it clearly has more cuts on the edges to add some downforce

They reduce drag.

yes my mistake. They bleed of highpressure air to weaken the wingtip vortices
