Ocon out for 2018. Maybe 2019......
I read somewhere that McLaren could make it fit for Singapore.mclaren111 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018, 16:48GPToday:

Tobi, of AMuS in a tweet said he heard in Spa that Ocon could still be accommodated in the Mclaren, with some adjustments to the seat. Seen some reports that if it happens, it would likely be after Singapore. Williams wouldn't want Kubica's first race to be at Singapore, could prove very challenging for him. Also, Force India want to maximize and get as much points as possible, and are expecting an upgrade that has been delayed. They see it as a good chance, and want to race their strong pairing.RonDennis wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018, 16:53I read somewhere that McLaren could make it fit for Singapore.mclaren111 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018, 16:48GPToday:

The Big problem there is that they have lost their Chassis lead and Vehicle design lead, only the aero team is constant. Ironically the aero people dont understand the current aero issue so cant update this years car. James Key will prolly be released very late into the design phase.
They've only lost the people who made the decision that got them here in the first place. So we could say, things can't get worse without them. With any luck they'll make much better choices now if (for example) PP makes those choices until Keys gets here.McMika98 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018, 19:07The Big problem there is that they have lost their Chassis lead and Vehicle design lead, only the aero team is constant. All things suggest next year will be even worse, ala Mclaren Minardi. Sad really, how the mighty have fallen.
Why is everyone convinced that he'll be in F1 next year. IMO he'll do another F2 season and some FP sessions in F1.Ground Effect wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018, 20:38I'm now thinking Lando has got this one in the bag. Seems Mclaren don't want Ocon while he's a Mercedes junior, that's not going to change, I don't see Mercedes letting go of him.
Me thinks PP has been the problem all along. Still cant understand aero performance, draggiest car in entire field. If it wasn't his past reputation he would be the first one out. Goss was a scapegoat
At least it's not Ericcson and Stroll with Kubica as a reserve driver.
The Fat Man recently said McLaren are considering 4 drivers. Other than that it's anyone's guess so I don't know why you would think Chuck has it by any means.Ground Effect wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018, 20:38I'm now thinking Lando has got this one in the bag. Isn’t Prodromou an aerodynamicist who was head of aero at red bull for years?
