Hmph! The stable baseline is race mode versus Q3 mode as any other practice session the engine can be anywhere in between. With that said I believe the current Ferrari has a smaller Q3 jump to Mercedes actually. My guesstimate is Ferrari race mode is stronger than Mercedes by about 2 tenths and their Q3 is about 1 tenth ahead of Merc.

Well rain is a double-edged sword. It can just as easily be Lewis hitting a weird spot or making a slight error in judgement, ending up spinning into a barrier :/
